DMB Song Discussion BTCS Studio Release - Visit it again!

Friends,
When was the last time you heard the studio version of "Don't Drink the Water" or the Stone? I played BTCS today while sorting out my CDs and fell in love all over again with it. So often we are focusing on the new live releases, the shows. I love them too, but this particular studio release is so clean, so sweet - it takes you to another level. If you pay attention there are so many nuances that we (I) forget about (like Alanis and Bela), and the little intros and outros we just don't hear anymore or could possibly miss when we are pressing the 'next track' button on our cd players in the car.

Rediscover the joy of listening to this great album. Sit and listen, don't touch your CD player! I promise it will be like a mini-retreat with just you and the band.

Shirl

Funny you mention that because I just popped this into my car cd again after Dreaming Tree was brought back in rotation. Halloween studio is ridiculous and I can't get enought of DT and Spoon. Like you said, falling in love all over again.

I did this with SU the other day during school. I'm still not a big fan of the album, but I like certain songs more than others after it.

BTCS is one of the finest albums released by anyone in the 90's. It was the perfect album, well produced and extremely well written. I have the MTV Ultrasound episode of the behind the scenes making of this album that was recorded at the Electric Lady Recording Studio in NYC...thank you to whoever started this thread...and for the record, I heard Crush on the radio on my lunch break from work today.

Yeah BTCS is an amazing release. One of the best of the 90's IMO. It's amazing. I love concept cd's that run one song into the next. The intro and outros are DELICIOUS!!

It is one of the best albums ever I think.

Hopefully this new album can approach the level that BTCS is on.
