This thread is now open.

DMB first played Darien Lake on the HORDE tour back in 1994. This venue didn't become a regular stop on the summer tour until 2002. In 2006, Matisyahu was the show opener and also was a guest on Everyday. According to the Road page notes posted the band seems to enjoy playing this venue and has even taken on some of the rides at the amusement park in the past. Robert Randolph and the family Band opens the show tonight. If you haven't had a chance to see them before, it is worth getting there early enough to check them out. You will not be disappointed.

Meet-up thread can be found here

Default Excited to the nth degree

I have never been so excited about attending a Dave concert than this years. I have been going to Dave concerts in Buffalo for the last 7 years. It is sure to be a memorable one for a few reasons.

1) He is opening the Tour in Buffalo (Darien) for the first time in Recent memory.

2) First summer tour without Leroi so I am sure it will be an emotional one at that.

3) The release of BWGK less than a week later.

4) My gf's first Dave concert ever...she is incredibly pumped.

The only thing that is detracting from the concert is the fact that my friends who I normally go with are not going to be there with me due to most of them either moving or having jobs where they can't get off...boo!

Good thing about Dave concerts is that everyone is so welcoming and it will be no problem finding people to have a good time with.

P.S.

For those who don't know, gates don't open till 1pm. The park is closed the day of the concert...as to why....good question. They would make a killing!

I cant wait for the new songs to be played tomorrow. I also hope RR joins a few songs. Maybe Two Step or Watchtower. Or maybe even Alligator Pie...

Default the day has finally come..

i wait for this day every year. darien lake is an awesome venue and the fact that they're opening the summer tour here says alot.. the pregame party in the lots are amazing and you don't even have to go into the concert to have a good time. i'm taking a bus up there with 50 of my friends so it is sure to be a ridiculous afternoon. i would love to hear shake me like a monkey and hopefully robert randolph comes out and they jam all along the watchtower! hope everybody has fun at the concert tomorrow!
