Default What the boys think of each BWGGK track (Ants Column with Relix Magazine)

This might need to be merged under the Album discussion thread...but I couldn't decide so Kim "" if you need to.

Anyways I recently visited Ants to check the ticket market for the STL show and I am really enjoying their newest column. It's an exclusive with Relix magazine. Relix has interviewed the band and gotten their comments on each BWGGK track. It's really quite funny.

Dave on SMLAM:
Quote:
It’s not just coming to slap you—it’s gonna come slap you and then take your girlfriend....in that song, the guy’s got a fuckin’ top hat on, a big cane and he’s slapping people. He’s singing this song with his big platform clogs on, silver pants and a long, black coat. He’s out of his mind—and in this song, he should be.

I read those yesterday. I want a copy of the magazine when it comes out! I love Dave's comments.

Gotta stand up on that song. Can’t go, ‘Baby, I like you baby’ — no. It’s ‘Do you know how it feels to have the light of love inside you? I’m goin’ all the way to your fuckin’ core!’

Interesting. Dave did the solo on FTWII for the recording? I just thought it was Timmy holding back . . .

Even on Fallon last night Timmy played the solo. That's kinda cool that Dave's been attempting solos, maybe he'll show off a bit more during shows (though Tim's a tough act to follow )

You don't have to be old to be wise
The bird doesn't wait till he dies to fly
And emptiness is not for me
Fill me up and spill over me
See you soul, open your eyes
From inside your soul comes shining
You don't have to be old to be wise
Don't you hear the baby crying?
