That's generally correct, but he only played at some shows from 1998-2000, not all. I think he played every show from summer 2001 on, and his last show was 4/1/08.

Good work, Max.

This is nice work. I dig original content from community members.

I wonder if we could find a spot for it to sticky / link from our welcome to wds threads.

Butch is a tough subject to tackle in one sentence because Butch didn't really join in 1998. He played two summer shows, his first being 6/5/98, and then played part of the Winter run that year. The following tour in '99 he would join the band in the spring for their Stadium run and would then join them again for the finals shows to close out their summer tour. Then about 7 shows into the summer 2000 tour on 6/27 Butch joins the band consistently for the rest of the tour but then misses the entire winter run. Then about 12 shows into the 2001 tour on 5/18 Butch joins the band again until his final performance with the band in, as was pointed out, April of 2008. First song Butch was a guest on was PNP/Rapunzel and the last was Stay.

You could probably also include Steve Lillywhite's attendance at 3/26/94 (also officially released under the DMBLive series), when RCA invited him to see DMB live for the first time and where Steve became more acquainted with the band and agreed to produce them.

Maybe include Jeff Coffin's first guest appearance with DMB on 6/8/97 with Bela Fleck on #41.

How about DMB's national television debut performance playing WWYS on 2/24/95 on Letterman.

Then having their first Grammy nomination and win in 1997 for SMTS.

Their last performance at The Floodzone on 9/28/94 and their last performance at Trax on 4/29/96.

Dave first met Tim and saw him perform live in 1987.

Dave's sister, Anne, is murdered in Jan. '94.

Dave's (DMB's) first Farm Aid appearance on 10/1/95.

DMB (not inlcuding Dave solo gigs) cancels Mexico, Europe, and Australia shows in late 2001 due to 9/11 and would not return to Australia until 2005 and Europe until 2007.

Popper brings DMB to the HORDE in August of '93.

Phish have DMB open a few gigs in California in 1994, it's DMB's first trip to the westcoast.

1997 was also the band's shortest tour.

Just a few things you could also include. I mean there are dozens of things you could include but then it all depends on how you define "basic" and how much info list before it becomes detailed.

All good ideas! I added a bunch of them, but tried to keep it more towards "band overview" rather than "band trivia." Thanks for the comments.

I don't think any of are trivia comments. I think most if not all are important points and moments in the band's career.
