Default 2004 Summer Tour Songs

ill preface this post with saying that:
a. this is probably in wrong place -and-
b. theres probably another post like this one

ok so anyways, i was wondering what everyone's opinion is on:
1.sugar will
2.good good time
3. joyride
4. crazy easy

i think these songs were great, and reminded me somewhat of his older stuff. it seemed the band was really into these, but when the album rolled around they were dropped. thoughts, opinions (will we ever hear these again?), good recordings from last summer?

-thanks-

I also think that these songs were all absolutely amazing when the band played them on the 2004 tour. And to be honest, like you said, they sorta reminded you of the classic DMB sound, therefore this is what I expected from the Stand Up album. And when that cd was released I was disappointed (at first, of course now, after listening to it and hearing some of the songs live, the album has grown on me and it's all good).

Sugar Will I think is my favorite song of those four. I was blown away by this song when I heard it last summer. I went to four 2004 shows and I couldn't wait to hear these songs. If I could figure out YouSendIt.com, I would post the 6.18.04 version from the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park. Awesome version, definately get your hands on it. Good Good Time was good too, but I don't think Dave played it much later in the tour last summer(?). I heard it only once at the 6.18 show. The song actually debuted at Bonaroo when Dave and Friends played there and the song was actually called Thing. Crazy Easy I also thought was unbelievable and Joyride was always energy-packed when they played it last summer. I too was disappointed that these songs didn't make in on the new album. But then again, if you have heard the studio cut of Joyride, perhaps that is why...I personally didn't think it compared to the live version of the song. I think I wanted these songs on the new album simply so we would hear them on this year's tour. Will the band play them again??? Your guess is as good as any. It certainly doesn't seem like they will play them on this tour, but who knows.

Ok, I figured it out. Here is an early take, but definately the best version of Sugar Will I heard at the four shows I was at last year. It's from the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park, IL. This is from 6.18.04, only the second show on the 2004 Summer tour.

I was hoping Sugar Will would appear on Stand Up. By far my favorite new song of the 2004 tour. Roi's solos in the jam are tight. They played a great version of it with Butch at the show i was at on 10/03/04.

They should bring all of them back in my opinion.I couldn't wait to hear these tunes last year when my darien show rolled around...If they don't make a come back, just enjoy the versions you have. Although i still have a pretty good feeling that sugarwill, joyride, and GGT will show up a few times this tour,i can only hope

If they were to play one of these songs you'd think, at least one, would have been played by now....but with 3 nights at Gorge and Red Rocks... if any of these were to return those two venues would be the place
