 Dave Matthews Band trotted out another new song at Star Lake (6/10/06) called Shotgun. The song is slower than the other two new songs from the 2006 summer tour, The Idea of You and Kill the King.
With a darker tone the lyrics also reflect darker themes. Here are the lyrics from the debut of the tune:

Of the three songs, Shotgun seems to be in a league closer to Idea of You, distanced from a pop-rock sound
Shotgun was performed along with the return of So Right which has been out of rotation since 7/19/03. There were some lyrical and instrumental mis-steps during the course of the 6/10 show, but these can easily be overlooked in favor of increased risk-taking from the band. At this pace, the setlist variety from this tour will easily beat out 2004 and 2005.
Also of note from the 6/10/06 show was G. Love joining the band to rap on stage during Smooth Rider.
