 We're very excited to announce a new feature at Weekly Davespeak.
We will now feature feature streaming recordings of Dave Matthews Band shows as they are released to the community.
You will be able to listen to the most recently released shows as they are released while at work or casual listening at home.
- Shows are converted from the original lossless versions to 192kbps mp3.
- We'll generally have 3-5 past shows available to listen to.
- Streaming requires Flash, (which you probably already have), and you'll probably need to have a broadband internet connection.
We approach this new offering in full compliance to DMB's official policy on taping:
In addition to helping fans recreate the live experience, [DMB] hopes tape trading will foster greater interaction within the fan community. Any method of trading that does not involve personal fan interaction defeats the spirit of this goal of the taping policy and is not authorized. In particular, posting audio or video files on web sites for streaming to or downloading by the public, is not authorized.
Weekly Davespeak is highly focused on personal fan interaction around the distribution of Dave Matthews Band's live performances. For this reason, we are taking the following steps to ensure that this new offering is in good faith with the band's wishes:
- We do not offer streaming audio to the public nor are these recordings available for direct download. Access is only granted to those who have interacted with others in the DMB fan community.*
- We provide a link to torrent the lossless version of the show.
- We provide one or more links to discussion of the show/recording.
- We provide a link to DMB Almanac's Show Statistics.
- We provide the name or screen name of the taper when available.
The player offers you the ability to track through songs, navigate up to different show folders, and normal playback features.
The Community Info link takes you to this link which will always feature important links that foster greater interaction within the fan community. A short summary of your board stats are also shown and our donors are gratefully acknowledged with a shiny gold star.

A valid and good way to get started posting on WDS is to introduce yourself or weigh in on discussion related to DMB.
