Update: You can now download the Dreaming Tree - 4/6/08. You can also download the full show here.

After announcing earlier this year that he is endorsing Barack Obama in the upcoming Presidential election, Dave Matthews along side of Tim Reynolds will be performing this Sunday, April 6th at Change Rocks: A Very Special Evening With Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds.

Previously we had reported on updated news from the Athens Ohio Post that the Barack Obama presidential campaign had been making inquiries regarding a possible Dave Matthews Band performance at Ohio University.

This new acoustic performance will take place on 4/6/08 at the Assembly Hall of Indiana University in Bloomington. Doors for the show open at 5:30 EDT and the show will begin at 7:00 EDT.

In order to get tickets, you must be a resident of Indiana, with a government issued ID or in-state issued student ID. The tickets are free, general admission, and have already started to be handed out.

The Drudge Report is suggesting through a headline that Dave Matthews performance for Obama’s campaign has already had an effect on the voting public. Wonkette does the same.

The Indianapolis Star reported the following:

“Jason Schechtman, 19, Deerfield, Ill., a student at IU, got his tickets about 8 p.m. after waiting more than three hours. He met folks in line who said they'd left the Clinton rally to wait for tickets.

I was leaning toward Obama, but this sealed the deal for sure,’ he said. ‘The Obama campaign announced this right as (Bill Clinton) was about to speak, and it brought everyone from over there to over here.’”
