Dave Matthews Band Confirmed to Headline Saturday Night at Rothbury Festival
With a of couple Dave and Tim shows announced on the West in April, the DMB community received another surprise this afternoon when it was announced that DMB was confirmed to headline the Rothbury Festival on Saturday, July 5th in Rothbury, Michigan. The festival is slated to take place July 3-6.
Other bands set to headline include Widespread Panic, John Mayer, 311, and Phil Lesh & Friends.
Additional bands that will be playing at the festival are Snoop Dogg, Slightly Stoopid, Tea Leaf Green, Derek Trucks, Yonder Mountain String Band with Jon Fishman, Modest Mouse, Medeski, Martin & Wood, among many others.
Partnered with StopGlobalWarming.org, Conscious Alliance, and Black Rock Solar, and more, the festival is preaching the goal of energy independence and will offer concert attendees a variety of "green" options.
There is an "early bird" special for tickets going on sale at noon on Feb. 27, 2008, which offers a number tickets for $199.00 until they run out. After that ordering period, tickets will be available through the website for $244.75. These include a camping pass.
There are also options available to purchase lodging passes on the festival grounds, along with passes to park an RV.
It's been two years since DMB played a major festival, with the last one being Bonnaroo in 2005.
