We've made some great progress in the 2010 Weekly Davespeak site fundraiser.  Community members old and new have committed to keeping the site alive and independent for another year.

Today we updated a number of user accounts for people who have donated this year.  Details here.  If you have not donated this year, please take a moment to give.  Many, many thanks to the folks who have already given to keep the site going.

Weekly Davespeak provides a ton of services to Dave Matthews Band fans including forums, easy to access, up-to-date lossless recordings of DMB concerts, an email newsletter, and of course Davespeak.  

Volunteers keep WDS content fresh and deliver a friendly atmosphere for DMB discussion.  You keep the server and services bills paid for and enjoy no advertising.

And I had a big bat on the back of my saddle I could have biffed somebody on the head. 'Settle down!' Biff!

"Yeah. Hope everybody's enjoying...There's a...I, I, I can never quite make out what, what they're saying, but there's always like, at the quietest moment of a song, there's always some guy that's just real, real excited. I mean, there's...He could be angry, could be happy. I'm not sure. But he's just gotta, when everything's real quiet, you're hoping like, eh, you're hitting it now. You know it's like, errrm.

Dave: "Boyd Tinsley on the fiddle."

Carter: "Yeah B.T.!"

Dave: "That's Charlie. Charles! Tomorrow night, tomorrow night, the Thanksgiving week has it's second evening of fun and dancing with the Boyd Tinsley Band! Don't miss it."

After months of rumors, hope and hype, DMB finally announced they are indeed playing Chicago's fabled Wrigley Field in September! The shows will be September 17 and 18, 2010, and featuring Jason Mraz as a supporting act. However, unlike previously rumored, Phish does not appear on the bill at this point.

"Who hit me in the balls with a yellow fish? You don't just throw a yellow fish at a man's balls. There's children in the room. Now settle down y'all. Throwing balls, stuff at a man's balls. Glad it wasn't a baseball, else we'd be postponing."

"Music has a way of turning people's heads. All I have to do is come and sing a song, just to make more people turn their heads in this direction, that's what we have to do."

That's just what he did. On May 19th, Dave Matthews took to the stage of the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN to help spread the word about fighting mountain top removal in Appalachia.

DMB's song "Crash Into Me" isn't just a radio-friendly hit to the Greenwich Police Department. It's what they are fully expecting to deal with this Saturday, as at least Dave Matthews takes to the stage for an ultra-exclusive charity event.

Rumors of ticket prices for this event range between $2000-4000. The night will raise money for the China Care Foundation, which gives medical care to Chinese orphans.

"So Timmy and I...This is Tim Reynolds everybody, this is Tim Reynolds. We've been chummy for about ten years, something like that. Well maybe not chummy right at the beginning. As we've grown more fond of each other over the years, we've become kind of chummy. I have a lot of chums. One of them is Tim. More fascinating stories later!"

"Very nice to be here and all that. You know that storm was maybe a little bit scary. Thought we were all going to get blown away, but then it turned out okay, y'all, turned out okay. It just (inaudible) shit. Y'all know, in Seattle, it just rains a little bit like this all the time. I forgot what it rains like down here. I thought the final days had come. Oh shit!
