While the band continues its efforts on the road supporting the Vote For Change Tour, Dave has been careful not to advocate directly on behalf of John Kerry.

Instead he's limited his comments to asking people to please vote and while sometimes ending with "Now we'll play, that's what we came for."

Outside the tour he continues to voice his personal opinion that President Bush must be removed from office. In the October issue of Blender magazine, Dave is quoted: "We have alienated ourselves from our most important allies, four more years of Bush could truly be devastationg to the world."
